What do you think of sarong cradle?
First of all, do you know what is sarong cradle? I found this sarong cradle picture to share with you. If you don't know how it looked like you could just click on it to see. My friend who is mom of two kids, send both children to babysitter. Both kids are being taken care by different babysitter at different place.
Her youngest is only 8 months old, she told me that lately her son keeps falling sicked. She took him to see doc and found out that he has asthma. Her family and hubby family didn't have asthma. She ask her babysitter who is over 50 years old how she took care of her boy. She is shocked to find out that the babysitter left the baby to sleep alone in the sarong cradle downstair in living room with air conditioner "on". While herself and her grandson sleep upstair in room.
Her boy slept in sarong cradle day and night, never sleep in bed before. I don't know why she still let her to take care her boy. She also telling me that the babysitter put a napkin over the baby head to prevent him from seeing the light as they leave the living room's light on in the night. The babysitter's hubby is alcoholic always got drunk and sleep in the living room. He's the one watching over the baby at night.
I do hope that she would find a better solution perhap changing the babysitter. She knows that her baby is not in staying in good condition. She left her baby to babysitter and only taking baby home during the weekend due to work.
Have anyone read about toddler gets stuck in sarong cradle?

I dont know whats sarong cradle til' you gave me the link.
I didn't use it when I'm a baby because we use cribs or my parents just put me in bed to fasten my sleep but its wonderful if I can experience it right?. It gives a baby a rocky sleep and comfortable position since it looks like a soft net.
@r_sanjose - I have heard a lot people saying that sarong cradle will give baby to feel like its still in the womb of mother. I guess its depend on where you live and the lifestyle of living.
Some worry if baby would get addicted to sarong cradle then they have to carry it every where to go.
@r_sanjose - thanks I need to get some shut eye now its 1am here.
Have a good night/day :)
Thanks a bunch! what is going on with you? I finished some exams and just keeping busy with my life. Nice pretty page design!
I haven't seen one of those before.
Certainly sounds like a sad story for your friend. A hard postion to be in.
I LOOOVED that picture. Is it yours?
@CherryMay - hi, nothing much.
@sarahsD - hi Sarah, the pic, not it doesn't belong to me. I found in internet.
I've never seen one of those before. I kid you not.
Hey! So..do you have facebook btw? Ok talk to you soon, bye:)
I am sorry to hear that his babysitter does not know of the dangers of the sarong cradle.. and placing a napkin over the little ones face can be a trouble.. not to forget the drunk man whom is watching over the baby.. wow.. I hope the best for the mother of the baby...Â
@CherryMay - facebook, I don't have one.
@CancerAbuse - yeah I really hope she can find another babysitter as obviously she telling me that she has to listen whatever the babysitter is saying. Like stuff she bring to her stroller, pram, baby stuff, the babysitter gave her all back. Even pacifier must buy which ever the babysitter prefer.

Hum, I guess I had not heard of a Sarong Cradle until your post. I guess that there are dangers everywhere even in regular cribs. I guess like anything you have to way the benefit against the risks.
@relisea - I think its common used in Asia. The paed had said that its bad for baby's spine. It has been used for generation I mean they are still practising using it.
RYC- re: cameras.
I am using a Canon Power Shot G6 it is a digital camera. I am looking to upgrade to an SLR at some point and will probably go with the Canon 400eso (is that right?).
It has been a great camera and given that it is not slr it has taken some nice click and point shots for me.
Never heard of one before. I personally wouldn't use them. They don't look safe. Such a sad story...
@makemeawitness - my friend's friend just told me that the sarong cradle another friend having the steel of the sarong cradle narrowed down after using for several times. It's scary as some sarong cradle cheap/expensive but you need to find the quality one. You need a strong one to suppor the weight of baby.
I have no problem with the sarong cradle but I do with the babysitter. i assume your friend feels trapped and doesn't think she can loose her sitter. She should rethink that one.
@sarahsD - thanks for the info. :)
